Small Plate Marea

Part of the Marea collection, this ceramic piece is an ode to the sea where I grew up and to the sense of calm its constant movement always brings me. Shades of blue and green evoke the ever-changing colours of the water, while overlapping brushstrokes follow the sinuous movement of waves and ripples across its surface.

Thrown on the wheel in white stoneware and hand-painted with engobes, each plate is finished with a glossy transparent glaze. Made and decorated entirely by hand, it is a versatile little piece to use as a trinket or jewellery dish, to serve a small snack, or simply as a decorative object.

Food safe (MOCA certified) and dishwasher safe.

Each piece is handmade and has its own unique characteristics. Even when the decoration follows the same design, slight variations in brushstrokes, colours and finish may occur, making every ceramic piece subtly different from the others.
