Yes. Every Studio Felt piece is handmade and hand-painted, primarily on the pottery wheel. This means that each ceramic piece is slightly different from the others: small variations in shape, colour, decoration, or size are part of the process and make each piece unique.

Even when several pieces are part of the same collection or series, they are never perfectly identical. In fact, it is a deliberate choice of mine to let each piece retain its own originality and uniqueness while still belonging to a larger collection.

Small differences in decoration and finish are therefore part of the handmade process and make each ceramic piece unique.

When there are more substantial differences between one piece and another, these will be clearly indicated in the individual product description.

I try to represent each product as accurately as possible, but since they are handmade pieces, there may be small differences compared to the photographs. The colour may also appear slightly different depending on the screen you are viewing it on.

Yes. Studio Felt ceramics intended for food use comply with MOCA regulations (Materials and Objects in Contact with Food) and are made in accordance with current regulations for ceramic articles intended to come into contact with food.

You can therefore use cups, plates, and other pieces indicated as suitable for food contact for their intended everyday use.

Absolutely! Studio Felt creates custom ceramic pieces on commission, subject to availability, timing, and the feasibility of the project.

A little note: Studio Felt commissions always stay within my own style. I make each piece on the pottery wheel and hand-paint it, following my aesthetic language and abstract style.

We can start from your ideas, colours, needs, and what you would like to create, and work together towards an object that reflects you while still having a touch of Studio Felt.

I don’t create copies of objects, ceramics, or decorations by other artists or brands. Instead, I prefer to take inspiration from your ideas and transform them, through my creative process, into something original and made especially for you.

Of course! You can gift a Studio Felt Gift Card for a ceramics course, or choose a ceramic piece directly from my shop.

For the Gift Card, you have several options: you can purchase it directly through the website and receive a digital version, or you can stop by the studio to pick up a printed version, or request that I mail it to you.

Yes. If you purchased as a consumer, you can exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of delivery, subject to the exceptions provided by law.

Ceramic pieces made specifically for you or customised according to your requests are excluded from the right of withdrawal.

Unfortunately, international orders are currently suspended. New regulations and the additional costs involved with each individual shipment have made international shipping unsustainable for me at the moment.

I truly hope the situation changes soon and that I’ll be able to ship Studio Felt ceramics outside Italy again in the near future.

For the Beginner Courses, both the introductory course and the 5-week course, no previous experience is required. You don’t need to have ever used a pottery wheel or worked with clay before. We’ll start with the basics and gradually learn how to work with the material, the wheel, and the different techniques needed to shape clay.

For Guided Practice, on the other hand, some previous experience on the pottery wheel is required. These aren’t traditional lessons: you can work independently on your own projects while I’m there to guide you, offer advice, and help whenever you need it.

The idea is to have a space where you can keep practising, experimenting, and improving, knowing there’s always someone you can ask when something doesn’t quite work out — literally and otherwise!

Nothing in particular! Everything you need to work with is already provided in the studio. I only recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty — clay can be messy!

One small tip, though: it’s best to keep your nails short. Some steps on the pottery wheel are difficult to perform with very long nails, making it harder to be precise with your movements.

It depends on the type of course you attend.

In the introductory courses, the pieces you make on the pottery wheel will then be finished and decorated by me, following your colour and finish preferences. I’ll also take care of all the firings: the pieces will go through the two firing cycles needed to become ceramics.

In the beginner courses, on the other hand, you’ll take care of the entire process, from throwing on the wheel to decorating and glazing. I’ll take care of the firings during and at the end of the course. In both cases, the pieces will be ready within approximately 2–3 weeks after the course ends.

I’ll let you know by email when your pieces are ready. You can pick them up directly from the studio by appointment, or we can arrange shipping. Any shipping costs are additional and will be agreed upon based on the destination.

Ceramics take time: the pieces need to dry completely, and the firing process depends on the amount of work being processed and drying times.
